he comes at night to take her away
as she claws ands trys to pry her way out
but he won't stop,
the way he is tearing her apart
the constant beatings
and the blood in her head
the pain she keeps hidden within
broken down, again and again
degrated, without care
she is so lost in this world of hate
she is so confused of her fate
he makes her want to die,
he makes her want to commit suicide
she feels like she is trapped,
like she has no one,
except this guy that beats her
black and blue inside and out
there is nothing left of her to shout
she looks down to see how her body aches
and the many brusies that it takes
she shakes in pain as he gets off her
mostly physical, but also mental pain
her body was not ready for this
or the way that she bleeds inside
as he walks away she cannot move
she tries to get up, but there is no way she'll be able to prove
that this has happened
he is loved by many
and many would take his word over hers
so she tells no one
no one will even know until it is too late
as she sits in her room full of self-hate
she cries as she puts the gun to her head
as all she can think about is being dead
she's so scared as she prepares for the escape
she closes her eyes and enters the gate
her pain finally releases with one final blow
she took a bullet through the mouth
which destroyed her the way that he destroted her that night, and the many nights that she struggled to breathe,
the many nights she struggled to be free
she'll never again see the light of day,
because of the night you took her away

I've read one or two poems on here recently that deal with this subject.Each one I read sickens me with the thought that people can do such a thing.Good write on a difficult theme.

Awwww this is a very powerful poem, touching on a very difficult subject, I really do hope that this hasn't come from first hand knowledge , but something tells me it does :( (((((HUGS))))))

| its depressing what girls go trhough and yet no one does anything about it. the structure is hella good. heavy material n VERY good written...swell just swell..keep up the good work :) |

Deanna this is one of the few poems I have read that truly touched me and made me both incredibly sad, and ***** off. You have an amazing talent for writing so powerfully about such difficult subjects.
