The Silken Shroud

Topic:
ambiguous
|
the shroud that resides,
just on my shoulder,
and off to the right
lies mostly silent at home,
and sleeps till I open the door,
and like a spring it soars
shuttering my mind,
with doubtful curtains,
silencing the fantasy...
so soft it seems to float,
into my mouth and echos,
the words I hear
MY words spin in my head,
frantic to escape,
but the shroud persists
maybe, like a diamond,
though harder than it steel,
it is brittle to another's touch

I like it! And the title says it all. A shroud of mystery. Keep on writing...
Angel always...godspeed...joni |
