Lost

Contributed by positivelypurple on Thursday, 10th June 2004 @ 01:21:18 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Little boy
All alone
Has no place
To call his home
A lonely soul
Smashed at midnight
Smoke another bowl
Drink another drink
The pain won’t subside
And he pushes those
Who love him aside
He lives in fear
That people he loves
Will disappear
Consumes more chemicals
Trying hard to cope
This is one of those nights
He has lost all hope
Desperate, lost
Worried about everything
And nothing all the time
He feels his life has
Little reason or rhyme
Sharing his bed
Another random Jill or Jane
He hopes a new love
Will make him sane
She does not succeed
He ushers her out the door
He still can’t find
What he is looking for
The years fall at his feet
He has to stop living in the past
Only then will he be free
And this little boy will become a man
At last.
