Alone with you

As the moment of time begins to stale
in the thought of tommorow.
The sour taste of eternity
begins to settle in my mouth.
The hole in the vastness of me
seems to burn.
Shadows mirrior their images
lacking that of substance.
It's as if their running.
Trying to escape the confines
of their fate.
Against the ceiling,
down the wall.
Trying to strech and bend,
hopeing to be percived
as something else.
While the light, merciless, umwavering,
never moves.
Just shines.
Bright and sturdy.
So sure of it's self.
I'm here now.
Alone in this room of people.
Smoke escapes the lips,
of talking mouths.
Soundless words,
fall upon my ears.
Smiles and laughter echo in the shadows.
The smell of this place embeds it's self
into my clothes.
To be recognized later.
Look into me.
Your eyes take over.
The silence of your voice
begins to ring in my head.
Your eyes speak to my soul.
You take me out of this world......
I hear your thoughts.

I like the way you bring the shadows to life. Yeah, it *might* be a love poem. |
