The days are long, nights are short.
You will forever be in my heart.
They took you fast in every way.
I didn't get to tell you what I had to say.
I will tell you now and tell you true.
God is very lucky to have an angel like you.

Some lonely child out there will see.
You are the best guardian angel there will ever be.
I'll give the angels back their wings
and risk the loss of everything.
Just to see you once again,
would be a pleasure to your lonesome end.
