Ground rules, indoctrinated
in Indian culture.
In a holy matrimony, arranged,
and fail-safe.
Self-righteously, valued
prearranged marriages.
Integrating and protecting
the initial bond.
Of two, unknown individuals, as one.
Through mutual patrons or matchmakers.
Hypothetically, paradigm of faultless sanction.
Infinite harmony, definite and genuine
Justification, endorsed in Vedic copyrights
A collateral to the wedded
of timeless bliss
Esteemed and cherished
for centuries anon
Infused in traditions and mystical
Ridden in chimera,
a prophesy of kismet.
A panacea, for the mortal consciousness.

I know it is the culture there but I cannot begin to imagine marrying someone not of my own choosing. I can only hope that most of them work out happily, but I fear that is not the case and the women just accustomed themselves to time-honored tradition out of servitude to their families. I think it very sad.
