Broken Strings

Contributed by Soulless on Wednesday, 9th June 2004 @ 01:52:23 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

You think I’ve forgotten
All those things you’ve done to me
They don’t grow rotten
Nor do they fly away

Freshly picked from my memory
Your smiles won’t ease me so quickly

Chorus:
When your heart dies away
And what tiny conscience left is flooded
With thoughts of me
I’ll smile and you’ll see
You can’t control me so easily

I see
You’ve come to blind me from what surrounds me
Screaming and yelling and hurting then healing
I’m not foreign to this tormenting
You slowly pick me away
Eventually leave me with nothing
I wont save your sweet whispering

CHORUS

You wont drag me into your spells
Bound by ups and downs
We’ll take a walk in my memory lane
Walk until your conscience is drowned
Until your screaming my name
Until your screaming to me
I’m sorry
