Depths of Suicide

Contributed by essentially9 on Tuesday, 8th June 2004 @ 08:34:35 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Depths of Suicide

It's gripping me
From underneath
Within me
New feelings
Have emerged
To make me realize
That I love life
No one can take that away
From me in spite
Of my past hate for it
No one can take that away
Only I can take that away

I realized tonight
That I love life
I don't know why
It's only right
That I accept this
In my own time
I was brought down by strife
And therefor hated life

Emotions can control
With a suffocating hold
You can feel bliss and more
Or fall to never reached depths before
If I would have known this sooner
I would have remembered
That no amount of strife
Can lessen my love of life
Unless I let it

I cannot commit suicide
I know where my heart lies
Embedded with this love of life
The persistence to fight strife
Till I'm meant to die

I reached the depths of suicide
Only to burn and rise
