Nightfall

Contributed by Soulless on Tuesday, 8th June 2004 @ 05:34:34 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I’ve come to sit by your lonely side
To gaze into the midnight’s sky
And listen to the moonlight symphony
Hold our breath and thin into melody

We can wonder on forever
Once we know the truth
The lies see through
Keep on holding to believing
And seeing through everything

We can hide under the distant pleasure
Seeking for what our lives mean
Always pretending broken things are brighter
Lift up closer to all our dreams
And further from the seems

We can wonder on forever
Once we know the truth
The lies see through
Keep on holding to believing
And seeing through everything

I’ll stay this way
Of knowing nothing
Then I’ll never fall
Or fly away
But stay where the world is placed
Under our own shade of nightfall

We can wonder on forever
Once we know the truth
The lies see through
Keep on holding to believing
And seeing through everything
