Eyes burn my head inside out
Liked celluloid sizzling behind my eyelids
Stuffy head and tissues all about
First I’m hot and then I’m cold
I hurt from my nose down to my toes
Barking cough and runny nose
Strong hot tea and toast with jam
A jar if Vicks held in my hand
Helps me breathe at least a little
Outside my window birds chirp and sing
Come on out – sit on the swing
But I’m too tired for sunny skies
Pretty flowers and butterflies
This summer cold has worn me out

I want to say I know how you feel...I hat summer colds....I hate not being able to do things I really want because nature takes it course...lol it was kind of a funny poem tho bits and pieces but yeah...great write however..I enjoyed reading it lol...
read and comment my stuff if you want, I'd like to hear what you think
