Tough Love

Topic: dedicatedpoems

They say the hardest tasks are the most worthwhile,
But when the odds are stacked against you it is hard to smile,
Love is supposed to conquer all,
But it is such a struggle getting over all these brick walls.

Constant spanners are being thrown into the works,
This beautiful love is being tainted with all the hurt,
And the pain that is a main ingredient in their relationship,
What is happening here is much more than just a blip.

I would hate to see these two go their separate ways,
Together they should be living out all of their days,
I know that love has it’s ups and downs,
This partnership has had more than it’s fair share of frowns.

They are two souls who should be as one,
Sharing all the laughter and all the fun,
To see you together is such a magical thing,
Watching the warmth and the joy to one another you bring.

Please hold on and don’t give up,
I know that your true love is more than enough,
To keep you together as a wonderful double act,
One day I would love to witness your marriage pact.
