Gentle velvet shrouding me
A web entwined with stars
As moonlight beam across the skies
The heavens open scars
The sea a tranquil beast within
Secluded from each cry
A stormy depth to reason forth
But never question why
Your children dream of cloudy ships
Each lover dreams of bliss
While children kiss the pulse of clouds
Each lover dreams the kiss
Gentle velvet shrouding us
A labyrinth of stars and calls
Enveloped in a taciturn chasm
When sunlight sleeps and darkness falls

Both 'Lyre and yourself post today. It must be the transit of Venus, methinks. Or coincedence. Anyway - I found this quite an enchanting write, as it focusses into different perspectives of the night, with eloquent words for a velvety feel.

It's been nearly a month since your previous post, and judging by the depth and beauty of this write, i'd say you haven't lost a step. It's enthralling, enchanting and the rhythm and overall polish is stronger than ever. Masterful work, my friend.
