Little Willow

Topic: dedicatedpoems

Little Willow
bathes in the sunlight
her pale ivory petals glow under the beams
rains will not bother her
she stands tall and strong
bend, Little Willow
kiss the grass you live on
your blossoming mind will keep you solid through the days
Little Willow
bends in the bitter wind
leaflets are broken off her with the cold
her petals shake rapidly in the mist
she starts to let her hopes blow away
sleep, Little Willow
hold on to the twighlight
nothing's really out to get you
the moon's just forshadowing nightmares onto the trees
the spirits of peace will save your soul,
they'll ease your troubled mind
your guardians of fire will keep you warm all through the icy nights
Little Willow
stands in the spotlight
her iris buds shine under the light
sweet melodies of love fill the air
lovely Willow sends her deep vibes of emotions
to an audience of sage-skirted roses and lilies
shine, Little Willow
times have struck into you solid immunity
you fear nothing now
sing on, shine on, Little Willow
you will shine on always
your passions will be what you are and save you
forever

Beautiful. Actually reminds me a bit of my own thought process, my own poetry... you've got a similar take on life to mine.

This poem is splendid. I really enjoyed it.
Bravo and encore!

Lots of love and peace be with you,

Chelsea

"sing on, shine on, Little Willow"

Kind of has a ring to it.

I feel this was a worthy eulogy to a self if I've ever heard one. Thank you for letting us peer into yet another stranger.
