I'll Learn To Crawl

Contributed by Joker17 on Monday, 7th June 2004 @ 06:37:26 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I’ve got everything to lose
And your trust yet to re-gain
I’ve seen fragments of your sunshine
But five weeks of your cold rain.

Some days I have my hopes up
But they always seem to fall
I’ve tried everything I can
I guess next I’ll Learn To Crawl.

(Because) I want you and I need you
I’m willing to get on my knees
If that’s what it takes to please you
Then let me put your mind at ease.

I’m not me when I’m without you
On my own I feel so small
If desperation is my last chance
Then I know I’ll Learn To Crawl.

Now I’m balled up in my corner
So afraid to show my face
I’m sliding into my darkness
Lined with guilt inside my space.

And I think I’m at my ropes end
I’ll be hanging if I don’t stand tall
This is my one last way of trying
I love you, so I’ll Learn To Crawl.

I hate that I feel like I’m begging
But I need you too much to go on
You need to know our time is fading
Take me if you can, or I’m gone.

I can’t go on forever like this
Don’t be too late, so you have to recall
The priceless love that I offered you
I still need you, so I’ll Learn To Crawl.

Absolutely incredible. Words cannot express how much I was touched and moved by this poem. I wish I could have written something like this for Dominic... Amazing job.
