A heavy heat settles
Its weight upon every surface
The sweat dissolves
Hanging in the air with the humidity
A heavy heat settles
Its weight upon our chests
Sucking air away as we breathe
Never lifting even after surrender
A heavy heat settles
Its weight upon our eyes
Causing them to droop and close
Drugging us as our bodies grow limp and lethargic
A heavy heat settles
Its weight upon us with no escape
No comfort comes from anywhere
Save the trees
Who strive to create a pleasant breeze
Oh, Trees, your efforts are in vain

Nice! I like the style of this one.
Yet here I am, and it's cool and rainy outside. I'm forgetting heat.
Take care.
