That night in the park

Contributed by sweetansexy on Monday, 7th June 2004 @ 07:05:50 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Alone in the darkness
I sit and cry
I can never forget
No matter how I try
Ill tell you what happened
That night in the park
When I was walking home
Alone in the dark
He came out of nowhere
I had no time scream
It happened in slow motion
Or so it did seem
He pushed me to the ground
And held me down tight
I started to struggle
And put up a fight
He told me to relax
And I wont get hurt
Then he took out a knife
And ripped open my shirt
I started to cry
The pain was unreal
Everything around me
Seemed so surreal
He laughed as I begged him
To please let me go
Will I die tonight?
I just didn't know
I remember waking up
In a hospital bed
Beaten and bloodied
Maybe better off dead
The nightmares not over
I live it every day
The memory of what happened
On the 5th day of May

Sent a chill right up my spine this one.
I'm male but I've never understood what drives a man to rape.I can only assume it is a diseased mind.
Probably not an easy thing to write about either.
Good luck

steve

Very powerful write.
I agree with uh.... Puppy/stever over there.
It was a good write though.
Well done with a good flow inspite of the badness behind the story.

This poem makes me want to cry. It touched me so deeply. I hate him! Horrible, selfish person! I am so sorry for you. I'm sorry that you have to relive the memory. I wish you could forget. I wish you could heal. I'm so very very sorry...

Wow, this is so powerful, and really hits home on a personal level.
My mind is hoping that this is just fictional, yet my heart really tells me a different story....
I'm truly in awe of your raw honesty here, I really and sincerely am x
I'm sending you the biggest cuddle.......
