Between tragic flaw and redeeming grace
I often pause to hide my face.
A mortal whisper, frail am I
An angel’s understudy, the question “why?”.
So near to perfect, so far away.
So like an illusion, dusk at the break of day.
Both he and she, both mist and might
A God impersonation, a fallen light.
A word of wisdom, a fool’s address
The Golden East, the Omniverous West
A dawning smile on sorrow’s brow.
The answer to your question now?
I choose grace.

Amen. I like this. I understand the flaws of attempting perfection. It rightly belongs only to God. His grace is our domain. Amen.
