To fall is to never rise again.

If I fall, I lose.
If I stay, I cannot win.
If she fall's, she is damned.
If she stay's, she is saved.
Is there no way for happiness?
Sometimes I believe, mostly I despair;
I cannot hold on forever,
But madness' sweet kiss lures me further
Into the charnel house of Love.
And yes, I see a light,
But pity me, for it is the light of anothers happiness,
And not my own.
I have fallen and I have lost.
She has stayed and she is saved

Euryon,all the comments I want to make on this very cleverly conceived poem are in one I wrote called "He's not the only one".
Basically it questions the durability of physical attraction. |
