When you asked me if I liked those bands,
I said, yes I do.
And you replied with a simple,
I really like them too.
I never knew your interest,
I never got the chance
But since today I’ve been bittersweet,
And decided I’ll give you a second glance.
You’re a stranger to my heart,
And I never got to thank you,
For the night you kept me warm,
When I was cold and wet because of Mark.
She doesn’t like TBS,
She doesn’t like that band,
She never wants to kiss you,
And she never likes it when you hold her hand.
So let it go…
Don’t let her run the show,
That’d be really wise of you,
And if you ever need me to,
I’ll come into your room,
And I’ll be the one to listen to DC with you.
Because that’s always been my dream
But every time I turn,
Around you are where her arms are tightly squeezed.
You look to me for help.
And I really wish I could,
Maybe I should interfere
But I really don’t think I would.
You tell me that you’re miserable,
And I really wish you wouldn’t be,
If only you knew,
That she tells me she still thinks of him
And that it was all planned out,
When she pushed you in knowing that you couldn’t swim.
So please, forgive me.
Why don’t you understand?
It’s really clear to see,
When no one else was there,
The only person you bothered to notice,
Was me.
