I know you didn't want to go...

Topic: goodbyepoetry

"I know you didn't want to go"

What I said before
about saying goodbyes
well yesterday was worst
I said it with tears in my eyes
I didn't want you to go
yet you turned your back
in all hopes that I would not see
but you just still ignored me
you knew it was for the best
and said f* the world
and lay me down to rest
you didn't want to go
yet walked right out the door
and left me there cluless falling to the floor
I haven't cried in a long time
and you were the reason I cried now
please take it back
please dont make me cry anymore
I no longer felt your arms around me
I felt numb and my body became sore
I hoped you would come back
reopen the door
and make the strange feeling dissapear
until i saw the lights in the rearview mirror
the lights of your plane
taking off into the midst
forgetting everything we had
forgetting all the tryst
I had no way to take it back
I will find a way to make me realize
that you were just my true love
in your sweet disguise
I know you didnt want to go
and that was your loss for leaving
so tell me baby please
why it was you mistreating
tell me all of this
when you return home
but if you dont
Ill have that question in my head
cuz there was nothing any one not even you said
