My name is Distortion

Topic: StoryPoetry

Hello, my name is Distortion,
Take a closer look
Either way you’ll never see
Just how angry you seem to make me
Hello, my name is Distortion
Incapable to make things clear
And just as you try to understand
I won’t be there to take your hand
Hello, my name is Distortion
Is my name everything that I am?
And here I stand, trying to make you proud
Yet all you hear is something dirty and loud
Hello, my name is Distortion
I won’t force you to see
Misleading you, so you’ll never find
Just how much confusion is in my mind
Hello, my name is Distortion
And I have you to thank
And I ask you why I have such a name
When I appear to bring you so much shame
Hello, my name is Distortion
And so you gave me life
Am I everything you have to fear?
You look at me as if I’m not here
Hello, my name is Distortion
Although you’re not as pleased as I
One day I’ll no longer cause you pain
Then maybe someday you’ll change my name.
