Right Here Now

Right Here Now
----------------------
Painfully I missed the first time you walked
And sadly the first time you talked
But I知 right here now

Unfortunately I missed your first baseball game
And at the awards banquet I missed hearing your name
But I知 right here now

I知 sorry I missed your first day of school
Or the talk with your teacher when you broke the rules
But I知 right here now

It killed me to miss your first bike ride
And all the father, son meeting I wasn稚 at your side.
But I知 right here now

On the day of your graduation I was out of town
At a business meeting is where I could be found
But I知 here now

On your first day of college I was absent again
And in your first game in football I missed your big win
But I知 here now

I知 here now, but where are you?
Too busy for me, somehow I knew it was true

I thought being a good father
Was giving you all of your wants and needs
It never occurred to me what you wanted was me

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ツゥ
