A nowhere junkie

Contributed by movax on Friday, 4th June 2004 @ 07:08:42 PM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

I'm gasping and gasping and gasping again
I cannot get this addcition out of my brain,
I tried it once and I thought it was great
Now I've turned into another degenerate

The first time was great, oh what a rush
The feeling of ease was oh so lush,
If I could change things, I certainly would
The happy times are gone, this time for good

If only I'd never tried out the spike
My life right now would be so right,
Doing anything to get the next fix
Another slave to the heroin mix

Another vein has gone and died on me
I guess there's no future for me to see,
Oh how I wish that I could change things
Now I'm just a junkie without anything

Your words burn. Hopefully it is a regenerative fire not a destructive one.

This is so sad.
I'm sure it took remarkable courage to post this. I've never been tmpted to try any hard drugs like this but my heart goes out to u.
I will put u in my prayers. I know that the super natural power of God is the only thing that can heal these addictions. U have reached out for help with this write. Jus know that there are some folks out here that care.
Luv, huggs, faith, hope,
emy

you could always quit cold turkey but that would be excruciating i believe from what ive heard. you could also try to lessen the intake and space the intakes out farther. your poem was fast paced and enlightning in some aspects.
