SO LONG AND THANKS FOR ALL THE LIES

Contributed by steeleyes on Friday, 4th June 2004 @ 05:01:35 AM in AEST
Topic: political

So long Tenet
Thanks for all the lies
Now begin to speak the truth
And dispense with the disguise

A loyal servant to the boss
Bringing lies to the hypocrite
Now that’s all been exposed
Your face will no longer fit

But now you’re free
To tell it all
Unhampered by your boss
No more kow-towing
To that total loss

Or will you take the easy way
And go quietly to your bed
Another loyal hypocrite
To the Chief of the Dead

And will you take your secrets
All with you to the grave
And all the lies you provided
A very loyal slave

Watch now the President’s men
Start to crumble and to fall
Like rats from a sinking ship
He’ll be the last to fall

So yes, so long Tenet
Bush thanks you for every lie
Try finally to tell truth
As you hear your victims cry

You are now free of the political game
No more working for that creep
Go and write about that Idiot’s ways
And the lies that grew too deep

Excellent R&R, with trademark emphaticism (?) - as ever.
Loved it.
Keep writing.

Considering Tenet continually pushed for the CIA to go after bin Laden long before Bush ever entered the White House, he's the only guy that Gore mentioned in his speech that I didn't want to resign. Oh well. I wish the rest of the Bush administration would do the same thing. I guess we'll just have to fire them in November. Good write.

a truly touching farewell... it put a tear in my eye. Hopefully Tenet will one day expose Bush for what we know he is. Once again a great poem and check out my poem, "A Lesson in the Art of Double-Speak" it would mean a lot to me.
