Darkest, Purest Granite

This loneliness swells inside of my dream,
It draws me closer to find myself,
I am still not sure of the intentioned theme,
But it meant something with my life on a shelf.
I saw a tunnel there amongst a road,
A lonely pathway to a solitude,
There all of my long life could be forebode,
Perhaps my reasoning is miconstrude.
Though the reasoning in no way is mine,
For there is fate and chimerical thought,
Perhaps my heart likes to be refined,
To wallow in misery and "what ought."
I am still missing that certain reason;
The reason for my soul's treason.
