Dreams that Sing to Opal Light

Here there waits an elf
Young he sits in crisp cold night
And as he waits he has
Dreams that sing to opal light.
Where a door slowly opens,
In some alternative land,
I take my dreams out of the light
And hatch them myself by hand.
Somewhere in a sweatshop working,
Is a 5yr old asian child,
His dreams are stripped raw
Lost in a box too well filed.
And now I ask, where are your dreams?
Do they echo through spiralled sight,
If you can not hatch them, don't lose them,
Make them dreams that sing to opal light,
Leave them there upon the shelf,
No matter what you do,
Then some day perhaps those dreams,
Will stand a chance of coming true.

Wonderful and thoughtful poem!
I wonder why nobody yet has taken the trouble giving comments to this one.
Greetz,
