The passenger
closes his eyes and sits back
as he rides
on life’s train
though surrounded by many people
his silence is not strange,
in his mind there's a view
of fantasies and harmonies
the landscape swirls by as he travels
station to station
with his thoughts with his dreams.
On the ride
there are moments
there are encounters
real feelings of passion
merge and flow
deep,
remembering the pain
makes the vision shatter
and he awakes from his dream.
He opens his eyes
and looks around
crippled pilgrims is all he sees
talking heads talking
frantically dancing...
someone’s telling a tale a horror story
the passenger nods his head
pretending to listen
if he could respond he would
but he just rides on
with his thoughts
with his dreams.
