Just friends

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

As the door slams shut on our empty house
no words of love can escape my mouth
for all I feel is fear and pain
from living life in your blackened reign
you thought fills my heart and starts to destroy
as I realize quick I was just your toy
and all you had told me was just lies
but It wasnt enough to just make me cry
so what made you decide?where'd you get the nerve?
to maybe ***** me up, or give what I deserve
did you want to kill me off?or just corrupt my mind?
I think i used to know you,I thought you werent that kind
you really screwed me over, I thought we'd always be
together til the end, not just a horrid memory
you said you loved me once will you ever again?
or will we stay forever, painfully just "friends"

Oh My, what a painful write. You think you know someone, and then find out you aren't even close!
I can relate to this one, indeed, I was married to a man for 14 years, and finally had to do the same thing you did.......but we did not remain friends. I had to cut all ties, or it would have gotten me completely down.
This was a great poem.....showing your true feelings, which is very hard at times.
I'm so terrible sorry this happened to you, but better to find out sooner than later!
Poetic hugs
consue

good poem!! I can somewhat relate to it. Except as much as I was hurt and my heart got broken we dont even talk. Supposably its all a big misunderstanding, but I havent had the guts to go figure it out yet.
