red

Contributed by colette on Sunday, 13th October 2002 @ 11:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

red is the liquid under our skin
rivers of it there red's a wide open grin
red is crimson an embarrassed stare
roses and geraniums napoleon sent there

to josephine in the garden
waits for
a lover
hearts beat red
rolling under
the cover

passion is red cadmium true
i bled that colour when
i
lost
you
red in tibet
the cries of the nuns
red in in christmas
red and goldspun

rivers of blood
oceans of tears
evolution i'm waiting
for thirty five years

the thread that wraps
around my wrist
the moment in time
i think i missed

red hair red hearts on valentine's day
the left over smirk that can't wash away
lacquered red walls and that little red bike
i loved till i rode it
and now it's just like

that red plaid dress comforts me in the fall
bright flashing neon sunset in nepal
red flush on my skin slick on red lips
the red shiny stars
on my daughter's hair clips

fall is red
the trees are on fire
crimson sky
funeral pyre

red love red passion
perhaps move to blue
after the heavy setting sun
the dawn is you

As always...

Your title is simple, but your functions, like your person, are in endless shades.
