Mom

I did everything for you
Yet I am someone you never knew
All you do is command and yell
Trying to make my life hell

Are you too afraid to listen to me?
To scared to find the person you ought to be?
Well shut up because I don't hear you anymore
I have forever shut this door

You closed your ears to me long ago
Not even bothering to pay the toll
Have you closed your heart too?
When all the while, I thought you were true

You told me you'd change
For a moment my heart was rearranged
But in a short while you were back to your old way
Not even in a minute's delay

I thought that I'd be happy again
But I guess my heart will never fully mend
All you ever do is lie
When I give a new start a try

Don't tell me I lie
And don't pretend you don't see me cry
I wasted my tears over you
I thought that we could work this through

But you are too deaf to hear my pain
Too blind to see this burning chain
You can't feel that my heart is sore
All because you just don't care anymore

Wow, this is very sad even tho it's written well.
I'm sure there are many others out there that have the same problem. I can't comprehend a parent that want listen to their children. I know it happens this way tho. When my children were growing up they always brought their friends to my house 'cause they couldn't talk to their own parents. I was a sergate mother for many. Even today I get along better with tens etc. better than my own generation. I hope and pray that u find some inner peace. If ya need someone to listen, I'm here.
luv, huggs, prayer,
emy
