Sadness rushes over me
to think of leaving them,
those smiling faces,
happily educating and
enthusiastically speaking,
offering advice,
leaning in to hear your voice,
curiously pondering your future plans,
those great big hearts
ready to teach and help,
those kind people
with such tolerance,
leaving them for the summer
is sad enough to bear,
so what will I feel
when I say goodbye to
my favorite teachers at graduation?

very nicely written.
It sure is sad to leave behind the one you had admired and one who has taught you many things. they helped place the stepping stones for your future. memories will keep you going. good write. sandy |
