I'm unable to sleep tonight
You are heavy on my mind
The uneasiness deep within you
I can feel the whole time
I knew it would be difficult
You experiencing such grief
While time heals all wounds
For you, it's been too brief
You toss in restless slumber
Never knowing that I'm here
Overwhelmed by your turmoil
There'll be no rest for you, I fear
I'll watch over you tonight
Ever closely, yet from afar
I've prayed for peace to come your way
And also wished it upon a star
As I stroke you with my caring thoughts
Your turbulent spirit to appease
I hope you sense my love for you
And it helps put your mind at ease
