Phantoms Forever

Contributed by paper-heart-hero on Wednesday, 2nd June 2004 @ 10:24:03 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Can we be phantoms forever
Always together while our hearts are breaking
The chances we’re taking
Lift us up but we’re still down here
Falling in love

Let the words float up in silence
Hit the surface it sounds like violence
My ears start to bleed
From what you said to me
My sweet
Feel my heartbeat
For you

Let’s get back to the beginning again
Where you and I were never friends
Let’s get back to the beginning again
Where you and I could never end

Can we laugh, can we cry
Can we smile at the sunrise
With these bullets in our minds
We lie, as we die

But here we are, torn apart
Separated by our hearts
And we’re running out of time
So here’s a letter for those we left behind

Let’s get back to the beginning again
Where you and I were never friends
Let’s get back to the beginning again
Where you and I could never end

We will be phantoms forever
We will be phantoms forever
You and me
Me and you

Another lovely write. You have a really good way of phrasing emotion, and i'm sure that this would make a tuneful song.
Good job.
