"HIS HEART EMBRACES YOURS"
Your heart the core, a beautiful red rose,
his heart embraces yours.
Each layer closely wound to bring comforting memoirs.
A rose is a special gift from God, in whom you laud.
He is Your Core now, lean heavily on His Shoulders Broad!
Sitting as closely as allowed to your so dearly loved.
A vigil of hope, waiting helplessly, your sweet beloved.
Trying to breath your breathe of life into his soul.
Clinging to every minute you have left to console.
There's always hope, perhaps today he will awaken
Praying each moment, from death, 'twil be granted a pardon.
Fighting not to imagine what it would be like if he should leave.
Testing your faith, "Please Dear God let me cleave!"
Your chair by his bedside remains warm....
Afraid to venture, will that be the moment of alarm?
You remain a faithful sentry guarding over his whole being.
Your heart filled with love, "Please don't die,' it's begging!
You begin to wonder?
Does he know I'm here, can he understand, hear?
Can he feel my presence, even though he can't speak?
Does he feel my fingers entwined in his, know I'm near?
Did I say it enough times, our deep love critiqued?
Layers of his heart are now closely wrapped around mine.
Each layer a memory of a wonderful, kind, caring man.
He was so intelligent, always giving of himself so fine.
God's gift, my beautiful rose, petals of love forever span.

Knowing the end was near didn't make it any easier. But may his last words surround and embrace you, for he will always be loving you., the love never ends.

Connie this is beautiful and you are a wonderful person for writing such a poem for Rita.

I'm truly sorry for your loss Rita. You will pull through this!!! You have lots of loving friends here on YPDC who are ready and willing to help you whenever you need them. Love lasts forever, and its link continues, strong and patient, even with seperation. You will be with him again someday.

Dearest Rita,
Your screen is full of loving wishes right now,yet I don't know if anything can take away the pain you are feeling. Sometimes we feel anger, other times grief and sadness,sometimes we want to run away and blame God for everything. Please know that amid all the turmoil, He is with you. Your loved one is with Him and a peace is enshrouding all the love he could feel for you.
Remember...love never ends...it is an eternal flux of flowing joy that transcends all physical things. May you be comforted by all the love everyone is sending your way.You are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you,Rita!

To all of you, my friends here at YPDC, you cannot even begin to imagine how much this means to me. I have met the kindest, dearest people here on this site. Some of you suffered through with me and I will forever be grateful for that. You held me together with the knowledge that you were there if I needed you. Your words helped me get through each long day and night. You were my strength when I was exhausted. He would have cherished each and everyone of you, I know that I certainly do. All I ask is that you each live your lives to the fullest and enjoy the time you have here on this big beautiful planet.

My heart goes out to you, Rita, on this saddened occascion... I have never been where you are, but my heart travels with you to give you support....
And Connie, bless you, this is a wonderful poem and I hope that Rita can take something from it just as the rest of us have. It's so like you to do something like this and so Rita has the best friend a person could ask for helping her through this.
