Oceanfront Dreams

Contributed by Tinkkerbelle on Tuesday, 1st June 2004 @ 07:52:39 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

The oceanfront is like a dream, lulling her into a sweet and tranquil sleep.
Though her mind is at rest, her subconscious is taking her away to a magnificent place.
Totally isolated, the striking, glittering water is what she is first attracted to.
It reflects and mystifies the images around it.
The water is a mirror. Above the water is the stunning blue sky, perfectly speckled with white, fluffy, cumulus clouds.
The clouds move slowly with the cool breeze.
The sun smiles and reaches out to her, tickling her with its brilliant golden rays.
The hot, soft sand works its way between her toes.
The fresh smell of the salty water stirs up as the wind gently blows.
Small seashells dot the sand.
Tentatively, she steps into the clear, cool water and wades for a moment.
The palm trees in the distance seem small and far away.
Slowly, she turns away leaving her footprints behind.
The ocean tide soon washes them away.
Before long, she is awakened.
Although she has left her serene paradise for now, she can always go back later.
