Freak of Nature

Contributed by TwEeK on Tuesday, 1st June 2004 @ 05:38:09 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

what is life
this being here on earth
what is it all for

to be toren apart each day
trying to mend one's self each night
only to be broken by the seems the next day

only for me
a freak of nature at its best
unholy unlike the rest

lost in myself
stranger to my body and soul
like a childhood memory gone bad for eternity

this is me
this is my life
a circus freak

why do i conceal all my hurt
all this pain
all of the regret on being here

stuck here
falling forever into a tunnel of misery
trapped in a cage

caged like a bird
that flaps its wings and yearns to be free
singing ever singing its mournfull song

an everlasting song that ripps at your heartstrings
when extracted from my harsh swollen throut
my song of a better life

this is the song that bellows from inside my very soul
this song of a dying crying creature
this creature that i am

a sick and twisted face
no ability to create words apon my lips
no ability to ever love or be loved

this me
this is who i am
a freak of nature

this is me and this is my cry.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
