Love Her Love Her

Contributed by Ina on Tuesday, 1st June 2004 @ 11:36:31 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Love her because she can’t cook
(LINE REMOVED, PLEASE KEEP TO SITE RULES!).

Love her because she has no faith
except her faith in you.

Love her because her hands are small
and her veins are long
and she bites her lip.

Love her because she’s narcissistic
because she knows psychology
and she studies dead personalities.

Love her because she’s cold
but her skin is smooth
and she never wants to be a mother.

Love her because she dyes her hair
but smells like a thousand fairies
and eats raw cucumbers in bed.

Love her raspy voice when she’s sick
and her breasts when they wake up
and her flat feet.

Love her because she can’t carry a tune
because she talks too much
and never listens.

Love her because she lies
and when you spoil her she cries.

Love me as much as I love you
because when I lie here at night
I hear myself breaking through.

Nice poem. I found it alluring on a personal level - where you describe personal nuances of a character (be they yourself or otherwise) in an endearing way from the eyes of another.
Enjoyable read.
Keep writing.
