Time will tell

As I sit and let my mind wander
I wonder if true love between us can ever be
In my heart are feelings that I can not explain
But the words that come to mind are so simple and precise
They are words like I love you, I need you, or It's just the thought of you

But when these words come to my mind I don't know what to do
I don't know if I should try to forget about them or just give it time
I wish I could keep my heart from controlling my the way I think
I know someday I will find my true and honest feelings
But only when it's right, hopefully in due time

My friends say that I’ll regret some of the things that I am doing
Letting my heart go to someone I have yet to meet in person
My response to that is I just can’t help it
Sometimes I believe you were made special for me
I wonder if that could even be possible
I do know I'm tired of being alone and miserable
But talking to you or even just the thought of you always seems to make me smile
