Living my life
Day after day
Nothing ever changes
No matter the way
Trying to stay away
From unsteady disarray
This life I portray
Is here everyday
So I must move on
Without delay
Yelling and screaming
Like the town crier
Here I conspire
To fight my one desire
But all I wanna do
Is get myself higher
Now all I feel like
Is that I'm sinking in the mire
Standing in the line of fire
My life calling in a cease fire
Stopping to turn
Only to find I've reopened fire
In this pool of life
I try and tread
Only to know
I hanging by a thread
I see red
When I try and get ahead
Fearing what's next
I could only dread
For my heart has bled
And now I'm dead.
