My World Shines

Contributed by maryetta on Monday, 31st May 2004 @ 02:59:51 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

i look at the world and i see differnet things
the sunshine coming through the clouds
or the rainbow peeking around the corner at me
raindrops silently falling in a gentle cascade
my world shines all around me

i dance at the thought of a happy world
a world where people care for each other
where mankind is always there for each other
one where dreames do come true for a change
my world shines all around for me

but is this always a reality maybe not maybe it should
we do have it within our power to change things
make them right and maybe dream once more
what a fun world that would be to be happy
my world shines all around me

to allow lifes reality to come forth is to open doors
through that door is the reality of life all aglow
it tells you to enjoy life learn from life be life
for that is how we learn and grow and be who we are
my world shines all around me

That was such a nice poem to read! I feel exactly the same way! Great job!

Awesome! I'm a dreamer too, as Andrew often points out.
Great imagery in the beginning of this poem.
Lots of love,
Chelsea
