Tell Me You're Still Real

Contributed by emmie74 on Saturday, 12th October 2002 @ 02:45:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

~*~

you’re not here, lost in the Universe
life is pain, but so is death
I love you, but you’re artificial
how can I breath
when the one I breath for doesn’t exist

I want to live without fear,
. . . without jealousy . . .
. . . without hate . . .
I’m strong
yet weak . . . delicate

I need not love,
but acceptance
I need not protection,
but faith . . .
. . . trust . . .
. . . truth . . .

DO NOT TREAT ME AS IF I WERE A CHILD

I will do as I please,
do not try to stop me,
you will not succeed
I will be myself,
not some stranger looking to gratify

I need to love you, to feel you
but, I’m afraid to do so
you need me; your life rests on me
I’m everything you need,
but he’s everything I need

~*~

I really don't know what to say to this... he's everything you need... that hurts. I won't lie. *****, I don't know what to say. Excuse the language. I just don't know what to say.

Hey it's me again...sorry for spazzing, and thank you for explaining it to me. This is an awesome poem. Although personally, I don't think I'm in the clouds when I'm with Greg. Being with him forces me to be tuned in to reality. Trust me, this is not one of those fairy tale, everything is perfect romances. Look at Greg's life, what he's done and been through, and the ways that I've changed since being with him, and I think you'll start to see what I mean. But if I ever do start to float away, please just slap me till I come back down! I don't want to tune out everything else in my life. I've been trying not to, but I'll admit it is difficult sometimes. Well this is getting long and personal, so I'll stop here. :)

Love always,

~ Dee

Dee, just cause Gregs life is the way it is, and your life is the way it is, doesn't mean you can't feel like you're in the clouds. I thought that cause it seemed to me that everytime you guys were together, you didn't care what was going on around you. Well, not that you didn't care, but that you didn't really see. You were living your life the way you wanted. You were tuned into reality, but the reality was your own.

Always,
~ Em
