Angel in Black

ANGEL IN BLACK

She was sitting in the darkness one cold winter night
Alone with her memories confused and in drought
As to why her existence would matter at all
For a evil spirit had touched her sole
But God had a strong hold and wouldn’t let go
He did not forsake her or leave her that night
He sent her an angel to show her the light

He stood in the door way a prince of a man
In a black leather jacket and bible in hand
His voice was so gentle so cool and so calm
Then touching her shoulder hand held up high
Closing his eyes he then did reply

Jesus sent me to save you I’ll do you no harm
In Jesus name you must go on
Days will get better the nights not so long
The pain you are filling soon will be gone
She felt the stillness that filled the air
And knew that her guardian angel was there

Her guardian angel was not dressed in white
He had no halo that glowed in the night
He had no wings of silver or gold
For her guardian angel wore black leather cloths

I feel that God never forsakes us but sometimes in pain we do him. He accepts our weaknesses because he loves us and allows us to become stronger and find our way back. Your angel was your intervention that night sent by God. I know the pain and the depth of despair and I am so glad for that intervention because it has helped me in my time of need. You are very wise and caring.

Rita

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
