Forever Returning

Contributed by sweet-poison on Monday, 31st May 2004 @ 10:14:09 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Scribbled heart diagrams,
Painted with purple ink,
Ruled out by a stray tear,
A name written in pencil lead,
Across a hidden wall,
Reminders of hate, hidden,
Behind a closed door.

Blurry eyed from gazing,
Far too long at the sun,
Not a single blink,
Escapes watery eyes,
I'm forever painting hate,
Upon my memory with care,
With names branded eternally,
To my imaginary wall.

I always write your name,
Repeat it into it's hundreds,
Watch it fall from the lines,
And drip from these pages,
Return to the ink of my pen,
My hate, never-ending,
Drifts and fades,
Constantly returning in floods,
You name will forever scold my tongue.
