Everyone can see, this is the real me
They see how much I care
And whether we go, to a bar or a show
People ask how long we’ve been a pair
I have no reply, just lower my head and sigh
What should I say when they inquire?
I’ll leave it to you, to answer them true
My chest burns like a raging fire
Is he your boyfriend? No. My pain starts to show
Will your answer ever be yes?
Under what circumstance, would you give us a chance.
I’ll treat you like a princess
They see my heart’s true, everyone but you
The one who I need to believe
But you have your doubts, so I’m left without
How can I make the fear leave?
Questions I can’t answer, eat away like a cancer
But I’ll search to find a way
To show you my love is true, all I want is you
I prove it with each new day
