Another sleepless night, watching the fire flies.
Thinking of fire fights.
Tracers flicker only they are in a straight line of light.
Fire flies flip and flutter, dance on the air.
All I can do is sit here write and say another prayer.
Night; the darkest time, not because of the absents of light in ones life,
It is caused from past strife.
Not only the time spent in war, but the war of living,
Living life from day to day, in life it is not only taking but giving.
What part of us men see is only what we allow.
The bad things we try to hide, but for the good we take a bow.
the people who live with us twenty-four seven,
They are the ones who make it hell or heaven.
These are the rambling of a tired old mind.
Too much pain too much time, leave us tired and behind...

Good poem. I can relate to the last lines more than anything. |
