A Bum…

Contributed by pyrofungus on Saturday, 29th May 2004 @ 06:49:30 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Found my way down the street
The sun was burn’n bright!
All this walking is getting me tired
I need a place to stay
To kick back and fall asleep
Hey and a couple of drinks too
‘cause I’m thirsty off the wall
Also some food would be nice
I haven’t eaten in days!
The days used to go by so fast
Now their so dull and sluggish
No cash to spend
I need a job
Some new clothes
A place to stay
Some food to grub on
Liquids to quench my thirst
Where did my life go?
It used to be so easy
Everything passed by as a dream
So quick and exciting
Now its so hard
I need to get on my feet and start off new
To become successful once again
Pick myself off of the ground
And conquer what needs to be done.

Are they truly free. Keep yourself so romantic. Do not ever lift your head out from beneath the comfort of your covers.

Very nice poem! Great imagery and it gives a deep insight in the life of those without shelter. It would match my 'Hobo's Song' very well, as you stated.
5 stars for you... I really did not understand why someone granted you only 2 stars for this...
Greetz,
Hur
