Just So You Know

Contributed by Silent-No-More on Saturday, 29th May 2004 @ 10:47:08 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I didn’t miss what you said
I’m not that dumb, I’m not that dead
Inside

I asked you to explain it again
You stammered and twisted it then
You lied

I desperately wanted to let it go
But it hung on, clung on, even though
I tried

It ate at me, biting hard at night
I was only a fool to even think it might
Be denied

I just couldn’t trust you anymore
Insistent that I would not put you before
My pride

No, I didn’t miss what you said
And that moment as we lied there in bed
It died

Nothing worse than a liar, especially one who lies about love. Time does help, but the pain lives on too.

I wish the best for you, thanks for sharing this.

Chris

Great Poem! Well written, laid out, and even more well said. I admire you techinique. This was awesome it got you point across yet you didn't have to say to much to where it would hurt you all over again. Thank you for sharing these very beautifully written words and I look forward to many more in the future!

This is very good, pain-inducing perhaps, but very good.

Sad story. What I really like about it is the format, so difficult to do, well crafted and appealing to the eye .Good choice of words too.
