Come to the alter

Contributed by kristina_simpson_stewart on Saturday, 29th May 2004 @ 10:27:57 AM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

Come to the alter
And give your heart to God
He will not falter
He with you will trod
A sweet release
It ready just now
Oh come to the alter and find his peace – his presence there

(Chorus)
Come to the alter and find him there
Come to the alter, don’t worry don’t despair
Come to the alter, oh leave it with him
By his blood, he’ll wash away your sin

All on the alter lay every care down
For God can carry – your heartache – your frown
Come to the alter and feel his loving touch
Come take shelter, under the cross
With welcoming arms outstretched to you – oh child I love you – This much!!

(Chorus)
