Do the tears show
Do the scars tell you
what is going on in my life.
Can you see the holes
in my arms from all the needles
I have pushed in there.
Do the tears show
Do they tell you how much
pain I am in and why I can't go on
with my life anymore.
Can you see the tears
that are welding up in my body
Do you know all the pain that I am
in do you feel the pain that I am in.
Do you know all the nights that
I fall asleep asking for your forgiveness father.
Do you know
Do you know why I am doing this
Can you see everything that is going on in my life.
Do you know
Do you know the times that I get down on my hands
and knees and beg for you to come back into my life.
Can you see me when I am
doing all the bad things that I am doing
Can you feel my pain
Do you weep whenever I weep
Do you yell whenever I yell
are you the one that causes all of this.
Do the tears show to you
Do the scars on my arms
bleed out to you whenever I cut myself.
Father do you know all the
times that I pray for you to come back
into my heart.
Father do you know that I can't
take my life anymore
Do you Know
Do you Know
What am I to do father
What am I to do with my life
the life that I can't control
the life of so much pain and
the life that makes me hurt all the time.
What is wrong with me father
What is wrong with my life.
What is wrong with me with
the way that I am
what is wrong with me father
Do you know
Do you hear
Do you see
do you heal
do you take time
out of your busy day to notice
that the weak are here.
Do you seem not to
care if the strong are in trouble
Do you seem not to mind
If I am asking for help and you
never answer me.
Do you know
Do you hear
Do you see
Do you take time
to notice the weak like me
and the strong like others
Do you know
all the nights that I cry
myself to sleep at night
Do you know all the nights
that I cry to others asking why
you don't want knowing to do with me.
Father do you know
Father do you hear
Father do you see
Father can you answer all my
question to why your not in my
life anymore.
Do the tears show
Do the scars tell you
how much pain I am in.
Do they
Do they
Father Do they tell you
or do you already know
or do you think that you know but
you don't really know at all what I am
going through father
Do the tears show
Do the tears show
Do the tears show
Father can you answer me
Father can you tell me why
Father please can you tell me why
Tell me why
Tell me why
I need to know
Do the tears show
Do the fears show
Do you know all the nights that
I fall asleep asking for your forgiveness father.
Do you know
Do you know why I am doing this
Can you see everything that is going on in my life.
Do the tears show
How much pain I am in.

Very moving and sad. But He is there! The only answer I can give is to say that you and I are not meant to fight like this. We think of God as a help to us, lending our own strength extra force. But that is not how God works. He asks us to give up everything, even our fights, to Him. Friend, I am convinced that the only fight we need to undertake on our own is the giving up of ourselves to Him. And it is a fight. We have to come to a state of humility, where we can appear weak to our own hearts by surrendering everything. It feels like the coward's way out to our pride. But God does not want our strength. He wants our weakness. Give it all up and he will renew you. It is very hard to do, but it is the only way...
Sorry for rambling like this. But it is something I have recently learned, and to me is very important.
Blessings on you in your struggle.
