Time is an assassin
Treating you as a friend
But later revealed as your downfall and your end.
Time is a mercenary
Deceitful as they come
Whether you pay your dues or not
It will still turn you numb.
Time is a faucet
Betraying when there's drought
Sure to leak when it's there a while
Without a shadow of a doubt.
